CLASSES—-YOGA, KNITTING

We have YOGA classes every Wednesday night at 6:30pm and Saturday morning at 10:30 am. We plan on offering more yoga and hopefully meditation and other spirtitual classes.

Knitting begins in September.

September 2, 9, 16, 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $20.00 and your own supplies

Here is the supply list for beginning knitting. Any questions, please email slkeiffer@aol.com.

Straight knitting needles, size 8, 9, or 10- You may purchase the short or long ones. Short ones are really good for scarves, dishcloths and small baby projects.

Yarn- worsted weight - wool, alpaca, or wool blend if possible. Your favorite colors, except for black because it is difficult to see stitches and if you are a beginner you need to see what you are doing! However, if you are allergic choose acrylic.

NO fun fur or crazy novelty yarns yet. The stuff is a bear to work with. Maybe later.

scissors

tape measure

stitch markers

small notebook or sticky pads for notes or counting rows , pencils, pens

plastic darning or yarn needle. The plastic ones are more flexible for sewing up and through yarn.

A bag or basket for all of your goodies.

Optional: stitch holders, pompom maker, stitch counter

Other needles such as double point or circular may be used at a later date.
